KATHARINE PERRY, CrossFit Level I Certified Coach

Katharine received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from UNC- Greensboro and is currently pursuing her Masters of Social Work degree at UNC- Chapel Hill.

Katharine’s love for physical fitness began as a teenager and has continued throughout her adult life. She has participated in every workout imaginable, from running marathons and triathlons, to traditional weight lifting and cardio routines, to hot yoga and P90x. However, CrossFit has surpassed them all in results and overall satisfaction.

During her last half marathon in California wine country, she experienced unbearable pain in her hip and lower back, forcing her to give up her passion for running. She tried physical therapy, yoga, and numerous bottles of Advil, but none of these resulted in permanent healing. Since discovering CrossFit, she is almost fully recovered, with full range of motion of her hip.  She is finally able to run again, completely pain free. Katharine wants to share her success with others through coaching and involvement in the growing CrossFit Local community.
