Group Tempo Run: 5 miles of Duke Forest

Hey everyone:

We're due for another group run this Sunday. Let's meet up at the western entrance to the Korstian Division of Duke Forest (only a couple miles from the gym, near the New Hope Fire Department) at high noon.

If you google "Whitfield Rd & Sunrise Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27514" you can map it up, or see below:

Kudos to any that braved the weather.

Just wanted to give a report on my Pose running experience so far. I have just been doing the drills and the cadence intervals. I am still finding this style of running to require more effort than my normal gait. My arms get very tired from pumping so fast, and I feel like I am running very upright. The drill where you run in place and then lean forward is helpful but I think I stop leaning after a while.
I have not tried to go out and just run 3 miles which I plan to do tomorrow morning. The running trail down here in Florida is sandy which makes the higher cadences tough so I think I will try to stick with the 90-91 cadence. 98 was way too tough for the drills so I did 96.
I am wondering if I will wind up with some kind of hybrid running style that I am hoping will still be less pounding for the old hip.
